Sweet Escape at San Rafael River Adventure

I was browsing in the web looking for a place that me & my GF can stay for an overnight.. I remembered one of my friend told me about San Rafael River Adventure. I checked their website, other blogs about this place. It has a lot of great reviews. So I decided to book. I'm lucky that they have promo that time. January 24-25, 2019 overnight.

How to go there: 

1. Baliwag Terminal in Cubao

Ride a bus going to Baliwag, Bulacan (1.5hrs)

Fare: P70-P80 not sure bsta walang P100

2. Baliwag Bulacan Terminal

Ride a tricycle going to San Rafael River Adventure (40mins)

Fare: P200

We arrived at SRRA around 6PM. Our check-in time is 7PM so we still have 1hr left. We decided to explore the area first. Wow! It was very nice place! A lot of trees & plants, beautiful views & the river was fantastic.

The reservation that we had was Glamping with a twist P4,000 but i just bought it P3,000 because the early promo booking. This is the place were we stay.

Imagine you will be sleeping here in a tent in bamboo raft floating in the river? 😵😵😵 That was the twist about it. Lamp & fan is provided. You can also charge your cam / mobile phones.

Me & my GF decided to eat dinner cause it's already 7PM. They have a restaurant you can order pancit, silog meals, etc. Sorry I don't have pics for their menu. But I suggest their pancit was very satisfying.

It was very relaxing at night. We just sit, talked in their garden. A great ambiance for the two of us to share memorable moments together.  We just want to stay cool & be ready for tomorrow adventures...

We woke up 6AM & decided to avail the free 1HR kayak. Its part of the package.

It was really fun kayaking... The river was superb! Sorry i also don't have pics bka kasi mahulog ahaha! 

After kayaking we avail the ATV. P400 each for 30mins. You can explore the whole area in SRRA & places nearby.

You can enjoy 30mins but full of excitement & great experience. You will be guided by the staff to lead you.. you can ask the tour guide to take videos & photos. They will teach you how to post, they know were the best spots.

After that we have to take our breakfast it's free also. You can choose tapsilog, longsilog, etc with coffee or milk & water. 

After eating breakfast it's time for swimming. Our tent was place beside the floating pool. It was really great! 

Imagine floating pool in a river. Wow! The water is cold 😱😱😱

Sorry I don't know how to dive ahahaha! That time solo namen ang floating pool 😁😁😁

My River Cruise din sila where you can eat lunch. But that time was not available bacause they only have few customers. I think to rent for a river cruise you must 12-15 persons...

Reminder lang ang check out niyo is 4PM. Ang last trip ng bus sa Baliuag going to Cubao is 5PM. So dapat 3:30PM out na kayo kasi tricycle pa kayo pa terminal... Madami nman ng-aabang na tricycle sa labas ng SRRA. contact details ng SRRA nasa baba... Sana maexperience niyo din!  😁😁😁

The Proposal

Intense, scary, nervous but happy & excitement! Yan yung nararamdaman ko that time before mg-propose sa long time girlfriend ko... I made this blog to share our love story & help some other guy where they can propose for their special someone....

9 years na kami ng GF ko... I'm 31 & she's 27... Siguro naman nasa right age na kami pra lumevel up ang relationship namen... For 9 years long distance relationship (LDR) kami... Ako taga Makati siya naman sa Nasugbu, Batangas. 

Mahirap ang LDR pero kinaya at kinakaya namen until now... Kasi siya nasa Abi Dhabi ako dito sa Pinas... Last January 2019 umuwi siya dito para magbakasyon for 1 month... So November pa lang sabi ko sa sarili ito na siguro yung best time para mgpropose sa kanya. So una agad pumasok sa isip ko yung engagement ring...

Buti na lang may friend ako na ang pamilya nila gumagawa ng mga alahas... Naghanap ako ng design sa net then try to change konti yung design... I decided na birthstone na lang... My design was kinda old fashion pero nagustuhan ko talaga buti na lng din nagustuhan niya o dahil no choice lang siya 😂😂😂 kung gusto niyo mgpacanvass o mgpagawa sabihan niyo lang ako i-refer ko kayo 😁😁😁

So yun nga ready na ang engagement ring ko so venue na lang ang need ko... Mahirap mag-isip kung san place kasi depende sa concept mo kung pano ka magppropose.... First na naisip ko sa isang resto bar sana sana dinner kami may banda then CR kunwari ako tapos mag-lights off then play the music together with the video presentation of me & her... Actually ok na yun kaso medyo naging busy so medyo nawalan ng time to prepare... I try to check sa google kung ano ba yung mga unique proposal best place then one result dun was The Purple Owl Tagaytay.  Nagbasa ako ng mga blog about sa concept nila! I followed them in IG. It was great! So i decided that this is the place where I want to propose for my Girlfriend... 😍😍😍

I reach them thru email kasi they only made transaction by email. Yung set up nila you can check in their facebook, IG maraming mga photos dun... You can also get in touch with the concept na gusto mo... Sa akin pinaubaya ko na sa kanila kasi to be honest wala tlga ko alam pgdting sa mga ganyan kaya nga ang swerte ko anjan sila to make my proposal elegant! Bale ginawa ko lang ngpadala lang ako ng mga pictures, quotes & messages & yung mga kantang gusto mong background music.

Kita nmansa picture kung gano kaganda ang set-up nila.. ao mga guys ot there na nahihirapan mag-isip kung anong concept pra magpropose let them help you... So yun na nga... Ok na lahat i had the reservation for Feb. 7, 2019 haha actually 3times pa ko ngpare-sched but thanks they are very accommodating & understanding...

When we came to the place d tlga mg-eexpect ang girlfriend mo na mgppropose ka eh kasi nga d siya restaurant... Isang malaking bahay siya so no idea tlga siya kaya kahit nga ako eh kasi dko din tlga yung place kasi thru email lng kmi ng-transact. 4PM of Feb. 7, 2019 ang reservation ko... That time kami lang ang naka-reserved... Pagdating sa area sinalubong kami ng staff nila... Pinaghintay kmi saglit siguro to make sure na ready na ba yung set up yung lights yung music... That time kinakabahan na din ako eh haha dko lam kung pano ko itatago ang singsing sa bulsa ko haha nasa box kasi... Saka kinakabahan kasi dko lam kung pano ko luluhod ahaha... Kinakabahan kasi baka hindi omoo sa akin ahaha buti nman hindi...

Pagpasok namen sa bahay hinatid kmi ng staff niya patungo sa isang kwarto! Kahoy na pinto kinda old school... Then pagbukas ko ng pinto nagulat din ako hindi lang siya kasi nga wow! Ang ganda! Kasi nga dko din tlga alam kung anong set up ggwin nila... They never disappoint me.... My girlfriend was shocked! Ahaha she slowly walk papasok sa loob as the music play... She look every corner of that room our pictures together, messages and slowly turning around me that time nakaluhod na ko ready to ask the most important question of my life! Will you marry me bash? Finally she said yes! Naku kung no magugulpi ko siya ahaha joke lang... 

That time alam ko na ang pinaka-masayang tao sa mundo! I am very lucky to have her as my fiancee & future wife... Sobrang bait niya kasi kahit na napaka-bad ko haha... Thank you mahal ko for accepting me, for letting me love you forever. 

Then, ofcourse siyempre dapat may pagkain hehe... Romantic dinner diba... So isa isa dinadala yung food namen... The food served talagang masarap lalo na yung squash soup... Haha first time ko kasi matikman yun... See pics na lang sa pagkain...

We ate habang kwentuhan, with the nonstop love songs of your choice... Then we decided to dance haha kasi nga dalawa lang nman kami walang ibang tao... Kasi nga medyo shy type ako ahaha...

Bolinao, Pangasinan

Patar Public Beach Resort

Last summer di kami nakapag-beach kaya we decided na bumalik dito sa Patar, Bolinao kahit rainy season na. But we were lucky kasi hindi man lang umulan hehe.. We've been here a year ago but in different part of Bolinao. Ngayon kasi mas ok napuntahan namen kasi nasa bandang dulo kami unlike before sa may bukanan lang ng Bolinao. We chose Patar Bolinao kasi napakaganda ng lugar na to.. Napaka-fine ng sand niya, yung alon grabeng lakas, nakakarelax talaga dito.


Before going here of course we need to look for a place to stay. You all know naman if you were following my lakad ang gusto namen talaga home stay. So we can cook our own food. Para mas tipid as mas masarap ang kainan hindi bitin hehe.. Sa pagttyaga may nakita din kami. La Parola Beach Resort. Maganda pa dito katabi mismo ng Treasures of Bolinao.


16 kaming lahat, 13 Young & Fresh (haha) at 3 bata. P1,800 each ang binayaran namen yung mga bata free na yun.. Sa price na yun included na ang pagkain, bahay at transportation. Pasalubong na lang ang iisipin mo. Tulungan na lang sa pagluluto ng mga pagkain. :-)


Umalis kami ng Punturin, Valenzuela ng 1AM, dapat nga 12AM lam mo naman ang mga PINOY. Going to Bolinao will take you 5-7 Hours according sa mga nababasa kong blog din. Pero kami 4 hours lang nasa Bolinao Public Market na kami. Namili muna kami ng mga pagkain na iluluto namin. Dito na din kami ngbreakfast habang naghihintay sa ibang namili.

Haha nagmistulang mga pulubi kami haha.. Breakfast c/o 7-Eleven haha...

"The Tricycle Driver"

After namen mamili we proceed na sa LA PAROLA BEACH RESORT. Kung gusto niyo ng home stay you can contact Mam Nida or Kuya Ramil in this number 09087184477. Yung pics ng bahay to follow na lang ha. Haha...

When we arrive in the area I was amazed kahit na 2nd time ko na to! The place was great! Ganda ng paligid, ganda ng ambiance. You can hear the sound of wave. Syempre ano pa bang dapat gawin eh magpicture picture agad hehe..

Maganda ang sand na Patar, Bolinao. Fine sand siya kapag umapakat ka lulubog ka talaga. Pure kasi unlike sa iba.. This place is best for all the guys out there na gustong mag-relax.

Eto yung Public Cottages ng Patar Bolinao. You can rent it di ko lang alam kung magkano.. Kasi we have free cottage here package na sa kinuha namen na bahay. Kapag high tide yung water abot sa nippa hut na yan...

Look at that!!! grabe yung alon dito sobrang lakas! Kakatako nga lang paghinampas ka ng alon tumama ka sa bato haha kaya dun ka sa wala ng bato haha.. Last time na andito kami sa my bukanan lang kami kaya walang alon masyado unlike here talagang open you will enjoy the wave of the sea.

You can find a lot of rock formation here in Bolinao. Di lang ako masyado nagpapicture kasi takot ako sa araw haha... Bawal akong umitim lalo kasi I have a big occasion coming eh,,, haha...






After that, we start preparing our food. Early lunch kami kasi pupunta pa kami ng ENCHANTED CAVE. Sikat din ang Patar Bolinao for their caves were you can swim kung ayaw nyong mangitim like me..

After namen kumain, pahinga muna saglit. Then we went to Patar Light House. Napakalapit lang ng Light House sa La Parola pwede mong lakarin kung masipag ka at di ka takot mainitan.

I'm not sure kung ayos pa at ginagamit pa ang light house na to. Wala kasing mapagtanongan dito.. Ang ganda ng view dito. Napaka-paronamic. Ganda ng beach.. Kitang kita mo ang buong kahabaan ng Patar Beach.

After here, we proceed na sa famous ENCHANTED CAVE. As i told earlier sikat din ang Patar sa mga caves. They have 3 caves in Patar, Cindy's Cave, Wonderful Cave at yung Echanted Cave nga.

Enchanted Cave was a few minutes away from La Parola. Pabalik ka kasi sa may bandang unahan lang siya ng Patar. We chose Enchanted Cave kasi eto yung pinakamaganda sa lahat ng caves here. My entrance fee dito amounting of P120 kapag di maliligo P90. May parking fee din dito kapag car/van P30. They used the money daw for preserving the nature. Kaya ok lang. Maganda sa Enchanted kasi may mga facilities sila.

Kung gusto mong magpahinga madaming duyan where you can rest.

Kapag maliligo ka naman sa cave yan ang mga bawal na ipasok.. Para ma-maintain ang linis ng cave. may CR nman sila para kung magbabanlaw ka.

Finally! Swimming time na!!!!

Do you believe guys na ang pagligo sa cave na to nakakaputi!? Yeah that's true! Proven & tested ko yan haha kaya naman nagbabad ako dito haha!

Ang linaw ng tubig! Napaka-clear! Color blue green siya. yung gita na 8ft ang lalim niya. Sa side naman mga 4-5ft don't worry kasi may mga tali naman on sides.

Malamig ang tubig napaka-refreshing! Advice ko lang mas ok to kapag tapos na kayo maligo sa dagat!

                Oh kitam! Ang puti ko na diba?! Hehe! After ko na yan maligo!!! Hahaha.. Pagkatapos dito we went back na sa La Parola to witness the sunset. Di dapat palampasin ang mga gnong pangyayari..

Pabalik na kami ng bahay ng may madaanan kaming pampasalubong. Yung sinasabit sa bintana, pintuaan at kung san san na gawa sa shell. Ang mura niya P20.00 lang ang halaga kaya di na nila pinalampas ang pagkakataon haha ako pass ako jan ayokong magbitbit eh...

This time sa beach naman kami maliligo hehe di na masyado mainit kaya ok ng maligo.. Sayang ang ipinuti ko sa Enchanted Cave haha!
